Creativity has always been at the center of my work. For years, I worked alongside my husband building our photography business, where I developed a deep appreciation for composition, storytelling, light, and the details that make a space feel meaningful. I also had the opportunity to lead marketing efforts for a local nonprofit, further strengthening my passion for thoughtful, people-centered creative work.

Over time, my love for design naturally extended beyond photography and branding and into the spaces we live in every day. After renovating two homes of my own and helping friends and family reimagine theirs, I realized how deeply I valued the process of space planning and creating homes that not only look beautiful, but function beautifully as well. I became increasingly inspired by the idea that a well-designed home can truly improve daily life — bringing calm, comfort, connection, and ease to the people who live there.

That realization gave me the courage to return to school and pursue a Master’s degree in Interior Design at Fairfield University. My time there allowed me to combine creativity with technical knowledge, learning the foundational principles, systems, and problem-solving skills that support thoughtful interior design.

Today, Iris Design Studio is the culmination of those experiences — a studio grounded in creativity, functionality, and intentional living. I’m excited to bring together everything I’ve learned to help clients create spaces that feel timeless, personal, and deeply livable.
